2024 Telus Canadian Championship set to kick off on April 23 in Calgary

The 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship will kick off on Tuesday 23 April in Calgary, Alberta as Cavalry FC and Vancouver FC face off to open the Preliminary Round and the annual Battle of the North for the Voyageurs Cup. The action continues the following day as Toronto FC will host Simcoe County Rovers FC, who are making their debut in the competition, in Toronto, Ontario on Wednesday 24 April.

The Preliminary Round heats-up with three matches played on Wednesday 1 May. In Ontario, Forge FC will host York United FC in Hamilton while Atlético Ottawa faces off with Valour FC in Ottawa. On the West Coast, Pacific FC and Victoria Highlanders FC will go head-to-head in an all-Vancouver Island clash in Langford, British Columbia to finish off the day.

On Thursday 2 May, action will shift to the East Coast with HFX Wanderers FC hosting Ligue1 Québec’s CS St-Laurent in Halifax, Nova Scotia to conclude the Preliminary Round.

Fans can find coverage of the TELUS Canadian Championship across Canada Soccer’s digital channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube featuring the hashtag #CanChamp.

The six Preliminary Round winners will advance to the TELUS Canadian Championship Quarter-Final stage where they will be joined by last year’s finalists, champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC and runners-up CF Montréal who both received byes from the Preliminary Round. The Quarter-Finals will be played as a two-match home and away series across the month of May.
