REACTION: CanMNT manager John Herdman denies New Zealand switch
ORIGINAL (9:50AM ET): Could John Herdman be set to depart the Canadian men's national team?
Newshub's Andrew Gourdie reports the 47-year-old English tactician has agreed terms – though not yet signed paperwork – with the New Zealand Football federation to become the new manager of the 'All Whites,' replacing former coach Danny Hay, who departed the team last year.
While no deal is done, Kristian Jack did provide an update on where negotiations currently stand:
🇳🇿⚽️ CEO Andrew Pragnell told Newshub John Herdman has agreed terms & was "100 percent" on board to coach the All Whites before a personal situation put a hold on the process making him unavailable to coach games in March. Herdman currently remains under contract to Canada. https://t.co/7AoSel0GSO
