Highlights

The visiting side were the aggressors early in this game, as Halifax played more forward balls toward Pacific's goal in the first half-hour.

Halifax were rewarded for their initiative soon into the match; Isaiah Johnston won the ball in Pacific's end and drove toward the right wing before flicking a cross into the penalty area, where Pacific centre-back Ahmad Mansour could do nothing but redirect it accidentally into his own goal.

The visitors soon added to their lead; Sean Rea sprayed a ball to the right flank for Adam Pearlman, who moved toward the box and played a pinpoint ball across to Tiago Coimbra who finished the play with his seventh of the season.

Halifax's two-goal lead seemed to awaken Pacific; less than two minutes after Coimbra's goal, Aidan Daniels took it upon himself to drive through the Wanderers' half and set it to Kadin Chung, who tried a shot from a tough angle in the box and scored to bring Pacific back into the game.

Daniels would then bring the Tridents level moments before halftime. Pacific won a free kick well outside the Wanderers' penalty area, and Daniels stepped up to smash it around the wall and into the bottom right corner of the net. So, the two sides went into halftime level at 2-2 after a lively first half.

The two sides settled down considerably in the second half. Pacific made a handful of chances in the second half in an effort to push forward, including bringing Marco Bustos into the match for the final half hour.

However, neither side showed many vulnerabilities in the closing stages; both had a handful of ineffective chances, as each team locked down their defensive structure.

So, the two teams were forced to settle for a point each, which didn't much help either side, as Pacific remained outside the playoff picture and Halifax stepped up to 26 points.
