The Canadian Women's National Team defeated Argentina 2-0 in Spain on Thursday, with substitute strikers Evelyne Viens and Cloe Lacasse each finding the back of the net in the first of two international friendlies of the month.

A red card to Argentina's Marina Florencia Delgado around the hour mark proved the turning point between these two FIFA Women's World Cup-bound outfits, with Canada pressing their one-player advantage to force an own goal off Evelyne Viens' shot, produced in tandem with Quinn and Simi Awujo before smacking off a defender's knee fortuitously.

Then, Lacasse opened her international account with a tap-in finish of her own, capping off a 2-0 win in a game that saw plenty of physicality and a few chances called offside that leaves Bev Priestman's team feeling more confident about their attacking abilities.

Canada returns to action on OneSoccer on Monday, October 10, taking on Morocco in the second friendly of the month. Subscribe to OneSoccer for FULL ACCESS to the match, including our comprehensive pre- and post-game analysis shows.
