RECAP + HIGHLIGHTS: Canada cruise to victory over Qatar in pre-World Cup test
Canada cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Qatar in Vienna, Austria to kick off their pre-FIFA World Cup preparation friendlies, with Cyle Larin and Jonathan David both scoring in the first half to give Les Rouges the win.
In a match that served to get Canada prepared for November's World Cup kick-off, the Canadians looked no worse for wear as they regrouped for the first time since June, making short work of Qatar but with a clear eye toward next Tuesday's tougher test against Uruguay.
Once these two matches wrap up, Canada takes on Japan on November 17, before the World Cup begins three days later.
Canada returns to the grand affair for the first time since 1986, and has been drawn into Group F alongside Belgium, Croatia, and Morocco.
