Seattle Sounders become 1st MLS team to win Concacaf Champions League

The Seattle Sounders are headed to the FIFA Club World Cup!

You read that correctly – after a stunning late 2-2 comeback to draw Leg 1, the Seattle Sounders defeated Liga MX opponents Pumas UNAM by a whopping 3-0 scoreline (5-2 on aggregate) to claim the first Concacaf Champions League crown for a Major League Soccer team.

Seattle, who also have two MLS Cup titles to their name (2016 and 2019), now get to bask in this moment of North American soccer history, as they help take a concrete step towards closing the gap between MLS and Liga MX with this massive result.
