Forge signs Canadians Jensen, Kalongo, adds four others
Forge FC announced Friday the team signed Canadian midfielder Noah Jensen and Canadian Goalkeeper Christopher Kalongo.
Jensen, 22, spent five seasons (2017-2021) with Oakland University suiting up for a total of 71 appearances recording 12 goals and 32 assists overall including his 2020-21 season where he lead the nation in assists with 14. During his time with the Golden Grizzlies the midfielder earned a number of accolades along with spectacular senior seasons where he was awarded the 2021 Senior CLASS Award winner in NCAA Division I men’s soccer, 2021 Horizon Player of the year, the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men’s Scholar All-America second-team honors, All-League first team honors, and first-team All-North Region honors for two consecutive seasons. The 5-10 native of Courtice, Ontario, had previously developed through the youth ranks of Sigma FC.
Kalongo, 19, spent the 2021 season as a development goalkeeper for Forge. Prior to Forge, the native of Oakville, Ontario, was developed through the youth ranks of Sigma FC.
The club has also announced the following players have been added to the roster:
