Cavalry's Fraser Aird ruled out for remainder of 2022 CPL season
Calgary, AB (May 13, 2022) – The following is a Cavalry FC update relating to the current injury status of Fraser Aird (CAN), who was injured during a match in Edmonton on Friday, May 6th.
Following an imaging scan on Wednesday, the club can confirm that Aird has suffered an ACL injury. The fullback will undergo the necessary surgery and rehabilitation process to return to the field as soon as possible but is expected to miss the remainder of the 2022 season.
"We are disappointed for the lads as they’ve had a terrific pre-season and the work they did in the off-season was starting to show. We know that they will put in the work needed to get back as soon as possible and support the team as best they can, whilst we will do the same on their journey," said Tommy Wheeldon Jr., Head Coach & General Manager of Cavalry FC.
The club will continue to support Aird through his recovery and rehabilitation process as he pursues a full return to play in due course.
