Both April friendlies will air live on OneSoccer in Canada.
CanWNT squad revealed ahead of two home friendlies against Argentina
The latest Canadian women’s national team squad was revealed on Thursday, ahead of a pair of April friendlies against Argentina in British Columbia.
Canada will host La Albiceleste at Vancouver’s BC Place on April 4, before they head over to Vancouver Island for round two at Starlight Stadium in Langford on April 8. They will be Casey Stoney’s first matches on Canadian soil since being named national team head coach in January. Stoney led Canada to victory at the 2025 Pinatar Cup in February, picking up two wins and a draw in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. She will look to keep her unbeaten streak going in camp number two against an Argentina side ramping up their preparation for this summer's Copa América Femenina.
“We're all excited to be playing on home soil in front of our fans in British Columbia," said Stoney in a press release. "This group has a great blend of experience and emerging talent, and these matches will be an important chance for us to keep building and growing together."
This will also be the final national team camp before the new Northern Super League kicks off on April 16, with two players from the league included in this squad -- midfielders Quinn (Vancouver Rise FC) and Emma Regan (AFC Toronto). They will be joined in the midfield by Jessie Fleming , Julia Grosso, Carly Wickenheiser and Marie-Yasmine Alidou.
Alidou was in the headlines on Wednesday, joining the NWSL's Portland Thorns from Benfica after an incredibly successful few years in Portugal. She was one of the stars of the Pinatar Cup for Canada, scoring a hat trick in the 7-0 thrashing of Chinese Taipei that sealed the trophy.
Adriana Leon also made a transfer to the NWSL after the Pinatar Cup, signing for the San Diego Wave. She scored last weekend in a 3-2 win over the Utah Royals, who recently signed Bianca St-Georges, who is also in this Canadian camp. Leon will lead an attacking group that also features Clarissa Larisey, Nichelle Prince, Deanne Rose, Olivia Smith, Janine Sonis and Evelyne Viens.
St-Georges is part of a defensive unit that will include Gabrielle Carle, Vanessa Gilles, Ashley Lawrence, Jayde Riviere, Jade Rose, and Shelina Zadorsky. This squad does not have any major surprises, and it will be no shock to hear that the three goalkeepers called up are Sabrina D'Angelo, Lysianne Proulx and Kailen Sheridan, as has been the case for the past couple of years.
Simi Awujo, Kadeisha Buchanan, Sydney Collins, Jordyn Huitema and Cloé Lacasse were all unavailable for selection due to injury.
