Form Guide: Gilles on fire, St. Clair comes up big for Minnesota United

After a strong international window, Canadian men’s national team players were back with their clubs this past weekend, with a few particularly solid performances.
Members of the Canadian women’s national team, meanwhile, continued their strong start to the European season.
Here is everything you need to know about this past week for Canadian internationals:
Dayne St. Clair outstanding in win vs. San Diego FC
After keeping a clean sheet against Wales for the Canadian men’s national team, Dayne St. Clair returned to Minnesota United full of confidence and delivered one of his best performances of the season in a 3-1 win over Western Conference leaders San Diego FC.
St. Clair made a stunning 13 saves in the victory, as Minnesota moved to within two points of the top spot in the conference. He was especially key early in the match, making several key stops on San Diego star attacker Anders Dreyer.
The 28-year-old St. Clair is now fifth in MLS in saves made this season, with 92. He has played every minute of the campaign thus far for the Loons.
Gilles' strong start with Bayern continues
Two league games, two goals now for Vanessa Gilles as she begins her time with Bayern Munich in an impressive fashion.
She found the back of the net again on Sunday with a header in second-half stoppage time in a 3-0 victory for Bayern against RB Leipzig. After scoring seven last season for Lyon, it is safe to say Canada has one of the most dangerous central defenders in the global game.
Just as impressive, Bayern have not conceded a goal yet over the two matches in the league.
Rivière marks 50th appearance for United with a stunning goal
It was a day to celebrate for Canadian right-back Jayde Rivière for several reasons on Sunday, as she celebrated her 50th appearance with Manchester United by scoring the match-winner in a 5-1 victory over London City Lionesses.
It was also her first goal for United, which may come as a surprise considering how well she finished off the chance. The hope is that the 24-year-old can finally find a good run of health this season, because she was outstanding last year when she played, as evidenced by being included in the PFA Team of the Year.

Stephen Eustáquio came off the bench in the 60th minute for Porto in their 1-0 victory over Nacional.
Ismaël Koné played the full 90 minutes for Sassuolo in a massive 1-0 victory for the club over Lazio.
