ANALYSIS + HIGHLIGHTS: CanMNT advance after beating Cuba, to face USMNT in quarter-finals

The Canadian men's national team has advanced to the quarter-finals stage of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup after defeating Cuba 4-2 in their final group stage match, and will now square off against the U.S. men's national team on Sunday evening here on OneSoccer.

Goals from Junior Hoilett, Jonathan Osorio, Jayden Nelson and Liam Millar gave the Canadians enough goals to finish 2nd overall in their group, and helped soothe some of the team's recent scoring ails, having been blanked in a 0-0 draw vs. Guatemala in the previous match.

But, a stiff test now awaits the CanMNT on Sunday evening, as they face a repeat of their Concacaf Nations League final battle against the United States, potentially their most difficult match-up of the tournament. The Canadians have no margin of error in this, the single-match elimination stage, so it's win or you're done against the Americans.
