Toronto FC made short work of Simcoe County Rovers FC to open their 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship campaign, defeating the League1 Ontario outfit 5-0 at BMO Field in a match that saw five different players score over 90 minutes.

Prince Owusu kicked things off in a four-goal first half, added onto by Cassius Mailula, Kevin Long and Jonathan Osorio, before Tyrese Spicer rounded off the scoring in a largely uneventful second half.

Toronto FC will now take on the winner of HFX Wanderers FC vs. CS Saint-Laurent, which will be played next Thursday and available to watch right here on OneSoccer.
