CanWNT to play in 2026 SheBelieves Cup against USA, Argentina, Colombia

Canada Soccer announced Wednesday that the Canadian women's national team will compete in the 2026 SheBelieves Cup this March, returning to the invitational friendly tournament for the first time since 2024.
The four-team round-robin competition will also feature the United States, Argentina and Colombia, as Canada look to win the tournament for the first time and improve on their best-ever finish of second in the 2024 edition.
Canada's schedule kicks off against Colombia at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tenn. on Monday, March 1 (2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT). They then head to Columbus, Ohio to take on the U.S. at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field on Thursday, March 4 (6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT), and they'll finish in Harrison, N.J. where they play Argentina at Sports Illustrated Stadium on Sunday, March 7 (12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT).
This is slated to be the 11th edition of the SheBelieves Cup, and Canada's fourth appearance in the tournament. The hosts United States, currently second in the FIFA World Rankings, have won the competition a record seven times.
Canada last played the U.S. in July 2025, when they lost 3-0 to the Americans in a friendly. They also played world no. 30 Argentina in the last calendar year, beating them 3-0 in Vancouver and losing 1-0 in Langford, B.C. in a pair of April friendlies. Canada's last meeting with Colombia (20th in the world right now) was in 2024 at the Paris Olympics, where the Canadians won 1-0 thanks to a Vanessa Gilles goal.
The Canadian women's national team was 10th in the latest FIFA World Rankings.
"This competition is a fantastic opportunity to once again measure ourselves against high-quality opponents who are all likely to be at the 2027 World Cup," said Canada head coach Casey Stoney in a statement. "The SheBelieves Cup has served as a great test for our group in previous years and we're thrilled to be able to return for another chance to win the competition. Each team brings a different style which will pose a challenge and ultimately prepare us to become the team we need to be."
All of Canada's matches at the 2026 SheBelieves Cup will air live on OneSoccer.
