CPL News

Goalkeeper Christopher Kalongo becomes the latest player to return to Tim Hortons Field for 2023, as Forge announced they had re-signed the 21-year-old goalkeeper on Thursday.

Kalongo spent the 2021 season as a development goalkeeper for Forge before signing his first professional contract with the club in 2022. The goalkeeper has made one appearance with Forge, the opening game of the season against Pacific FC at Starlight Stadium.

He won his first North Star Shield with Forge FC in the 2022 season. Prior to Forge, the native of Oakville, Ontario, developed through the youth ranks of Sigma FC.

Kalongo is the 19th returning player for Forge this upcoming season, as fellow goalkeeper Triston Henry, as well as captain Kyle Bekker, Ashtone Morgan and David Choinière all renewed their contracts for this coming season.
